And Just What Do You Do?
Not a day goes by that someone doesn’t ask me that question. “And just what do you do?” Or another common one is “are you a doctor?” (I’m not. You can learn about me here if you wish.) It takes more than an elevator ride to explain what I do and how I help people.
I’m in the industry of helping individuals improve their health. I have a lot of experience and training to learn how to help individuals with chronic care disease and autoimmune disease get better. Getting better is the bottom line.
Health is like a puzzle, except that many times, we aren’t exactly sure which pieces are missing and which pieces are in place but shouldn’t be. And which pieces fit just fine but the ultimate picture turns out fuzzy. Think about that for a moment.
What parts of your life contribute to your health? (Answer: Everything contributes or detracts from your health.)
So that’s what I do.
I help clients explore, unravel and discover all parts of their lives for the outcome of
reaching that client’s vision of optimal health and well-being.
I get to spend a lot of time with clients figuring out what’s not working, what’s missing and most importantly, what we can do about it. Together over a multi-month process, we explore nutrition and supplements, physical environment, mind-body wellness, stress, environmental toxins, movement, sleep and relaxation, spirituality, personal and professional development. My clients discover contributors to their health they never imagined before. They learn how to have a better more constructive relationship with their medical team and how to become an equal (if not leader) in their own healthcare journey. You can learn more about how integrative health coaches do what they do here.
As you can imagine, I love what I do.
